My precious animals.....
A website to guide pet owners through the difficult times when your pet is not well and you need something more than the normal veterinary services including possibly gaining more time when the pets life is ending
This website attempts triage using natural therapies which should be used in conjunction with normal veterinary advice.
Triage site for your precious animals
So, this is a triage site. Natural medicine triage is the process of sorting out sick or injured individuals into groups, so that they can be more effectively treated with natural therapies.
In this triage site we attempt to achieve this natural medicine triage by using such groupings as species, diet, homeopathic, herbal remedies, and other holistic techniques (as well as conventional medicine if necessary when we will refer you back to your own vet) all of which are important aspects of care to assist you in the natural health care of your animals…
In addition we offer a subscription service where you can obtain individual advice and information that may help YOUR precious animals live a better and a more healthy life.
Keep your animals healthy
As most pet owners know, animals have an important place in the family because they give Unconditional love (if you feed me). As a pet owner you can reciprocate by keeping your pets healthy, training them and loving them.
This website has been prepared by Dr Tony Frith B.Ag B V Sc Diploma Acupuncture, and is the culmination of forty years of experience as a veterinary surgeon.
When the going gets tough emotionally in life, then you will often find your pet is there to help.
The purpose of this website is to help you keep your pet healthy and in so doing, it is a giving of care and love from both sides. In it we offer suggestions and share with you herbal medicines which are quite often, readily available in your garden and also to offer source of herbal remedies that you can use safely on your pet.
It is important to note that using your own vet’s care when your animal is sick is also very important.
Do not neglect to recognise that treatment of acute (severe) conditions such as diarrhoea, vomiting blood loss and accidents and even neglected teeth all need the initial intervention of your vet as acute(severe) conditions are best treated with allopathic medicine. It is also my opinion that vaccination of young animals and the best diet that you can find are equally important.
If you haven’t seen the early signs of chronic disease or are unfortunate enough to have a pet with cancer, herbal remedies can help to ameliorate the symptoms and sometimes if commenced early enough may play a part in prevention. It is all up to you and how much knowledge and how much time you have to give back to your pet.
What I can do for you is to inform you, offer you some herbal based products that you can use yourself and offer you a consultancy service which you can use. Hopefully this will incorporate the full cooperation of your veterinarian. Try asking her/him, most will be very approachable.
